Hi there, Friend
Wow… recently the Lord has been showing me the power of having perspective.
The Word says in Isaiah 55:8-9:
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."
This verse just highlights the perspective that God has over everything.
He is above our circumstances and He sees beyond what we can see.
I am so encouraged to seek Him to find the answers to the deepest questions,
because He knows best.
No matter how high or how low you may feel in this season, just know that the Lord is above feelings, hormones and emotions. He is our Solid Rock. He never changes. He is steadfast.
"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable." - Isaiah 40:28
In a moment He can step in and things can change. What seems like a lifetime of struggles can all fade away instantly. Years and years of addiction can evaporate in seconds and you are set free. A fresh perspective is given when we spend time in His presence. This is the beauty of a Living God.
Today I hope to spark a new fire in you to give your thoughts and worries to Jesus, unrelentlessly. Give it all to Him, the pretty things and the ugly ones. He wants it all.
One of the best ways I've found in doing this is through Journaling (either through the Word or just in a notebook). Get those thoughts on paper and surrender. Receive His great and precious promises in the Word as you commune with Him.
